We know one of the biggest challenges with packing a shirt is the creasing, here are our steps to minimise this next time you travel:
1. Start with a clean, ironed shirt: Make sure your white shirt is clean and wrinkle-free before folding it. Ironing the shirt beforehand will help eliminate any existing creases and ensure a crisp appearance.
2. Lay the shirt on a flat surface: Place the shirt face down on a clean and flat surface, such as a table or bed. Smooth out any wrinkles or folds on the fabric.
3. Button up and straighten: Button up all the buttons on the shirt, including the collar button and cuffs. This will help maintain the shape and structure of the shirt while folding.
4. Fold the sleeves: Take one sleeve and fold it across the back of the shirt, aligning the edge of the sleeve with the shirt's side seam. Repeat with the other sleeve, so they overlap neatly in the center of the shirt.
5. Fold the bottom: Take the bottom of the shirt and fold it up about one-third of the way. Ensure the fold is straight and parallel to the bottom edge of the shirt.
6. Fold in half: Fold the shirt in half vertically, bringing the shoulder seams together. The sleeves and bottom fold should be sandwiched inside the shirt.
7. Final touch: Smooth out any visible creases or wrinkles by running your hands gently over the folded shirt. This will help create a neater appearance and minimize the chance of creasing.
By following these folding techniques, you can reduce creases and keep your white shirt looking crisp and fresh. Remember to store the folded shirt in a cool, dry place to maintain its condition until the next wear.
